Children’s Committee for 2019.2020: Ava , Jessica, Emilia, Lauren, Ellie Mai, Alisha, Caragh, Karina, Alesha, Angel, Melisa and Clodagh.
The adult committee met on 9th October and set the following goals for this year:
Academic Area: To support the school’s new literacy initiative, Accelerated Reader
-Senior girls on the ATP Committee to be responsible for tidying books in the Accelerated Reading Room each week
– Adult committee to source new books for the levels where there are shortages.
Behavioural Goal: To help improve the quality of the children’s play during break time:
-Run an art competition with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes to design a wall mural for the front yard
– Winners to help create the mural with the adult and children’s committees
Climate of Partnership: To develop community links & make the school a more welcoming place
-Senior classes to maintain the link with the Senior Citizens’ Tuesday Club in Teach na Daoine
-Work on the introduction of a Grandparents’ Day for Junior classes.
